Up to 25 cups of coffee a day safe for heart health, study finds
Coffee lovers who drink up to 25 cups a day can rest assured the drink is not bad for their heart, scientists say.
Some previous studies have suggested that coffee stiffens arteries, putting pressure on the heart and increasing the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke, with drinkers warned to cut down their consumption. But a new study of more than 8,000 people across the UK found that drinking five cups a day, and even up to 25, was no worse for the arteries than drinking less than a cup a day. https://www.theguardian.com/food/201...th-study-finds |

25?! I suppose it's good to know that people who drink a lot of coffee aren't damaging their arteries in any way, but that much still sounds like a recipe for disaster anxiety wise.

I don't think I could manage to drink 25 cups of anything in one day.
Caffeine can make me feel jittery so I try to only drink 2 or 3 cups a day, if I drank much more I would be buzzing like an old refrigerator. |

It's good to hear that a lot of coffee isn't damaging people's arteries (now could they please discover that lots of cakes, chocolate and chips aren't damaging the arteries either!)
I'm more of a tea drinker than a coffee drinker but I've taken to having the occasional coffee these days in a bid to jolt me out of this permanent stupor I seem to be finding myself in. I think I need to up the caffeine content as so far it isn't working |

I gave up coffee a while ago it was hard to break the addiction and I miss it sometimes now I drink herbal tea, the reason being I thought it made me more anxious and I was right.
