Off on my merry way (again!) ...mods, please read

Right. I came back to SAUK maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago to make one post. Yes, only one. How many have I made since then? 100? 200? I don't know, but this place is addictive and it isn't good for me so I've decided to follow the newly born tradition for recovering addicts, started by KevCantona and followed up by The Godfather - Part II.

Mods, can you ban my account, please, permanently?

If it isn't any trouble I'd like my posts deleted too, anytime you like (I understand I have posts in ongoing discussions), but if it can't be done, then no worries.

Since I won't be able to check PMs, if anyone wants to get in touch you should be able to find my email address in my profile or through my blog. Feel free.

It's a shame some people have to go to such lengths to stop themselves from coming here. I left myself but barely lasted a month before i crawled back. Maybe voluntery banning is the way forward..........

I may or may not have a useful contribution to make, but I find it a far more healthy outlet to make it through my blog rather than here. There I don't have so much defensiveness with not having any provocative comments to reply to, and neither do I find myself refreshing the page for 8 hours... That and I may well keep the posts that are already here, it's unlikely anyone who hasn't read them already is going to go digging them all up.

I actually feel kinda sad, because I know my pride will be bruised if I return again, making it a slim chance. I may return, one day, but hopefully not for a very long time. I know that it's not healthy for me to be here anymore.

I think it's because the amount of 'badass' posters has dwindled. When I first joined around a year ago, there seemed to be a healthy balance of personalities which made the place seem quite vibrant/animated. Without the 'badasses', well, the friction that keeps people posting isn't quite there.
