Default Uncertainty

This is about children on the spectrum but I think it might also be applicable to adults https://spectrumnews.org/news/uncert...ues-in-autism/

I quote from the article :
Quote:
The findings support the theory that children with autism perceive the world as overwhelming because they have difficulty predicting how situations are likely to unfold2.
This is very much the situation with me . The unknown is full of uncertainty , It's difficult to predict how things will pan out ,and that is very anxiety provoking.

Default Re: Uncertainty

I know uncertainty is a massive factor in my OCD and can definitely see how it impacts the SA too. I might know logically that the likelihood of, eg. people thinking badly about some tiny thing I said, is very small, but while there's even the slightest possibility of it I just can't let it go. And what's going on in other peoples' heads is this giant unresolvable uncertainty I suppose.
