Stressed and knackered

I've been working out how to ask for a pay rise since April..but we got some weird bonus thing that lowered my mood just enough to put me off having an awkward chat

Now its back to the front of my mind, I really don't get paid enough for this BS but its quite a difficult thing to do without a spine

^A nap messed me up today. The cut off for me to eat before my fasting window starts was 5pm, but I feel asleep at 2:30 and woke up at 5, so no dinner for me

Severely anxious. I don't know if anyone can relate but I have this OCD around my breathing. I literally can't stop thinking about my breathing no matter what I do. I'll focus on it being too shallow, too deep, the fact I can't stop focusing on it. Makes me so anxious and I worry I'll stop breathing if I'm not in control of it. It lasts months most times. It's just one thing after another with my brain lol. Also missing a friend a lot that I'm not friends with any more.

^ Yeah exactly. The problem is I can't stop focusing on it lol. Been trying to distract myself since it's been happening but I just can't.

^ Trying to distract yourself is the best thing you can do I think. I find some comfort in the fact that my body seems to have managed to keep itself breathing whether I was concentrating on it or not lol.

I agree. Everyone has their own insecurities but it shouldn't be used as an excuse to manipulate those around you. Also, I think it's very important that you sometimes put your own needs and wants above those of others for the sake of your own happiness and mental health. You are important too

A bit

Just accepted the job offer with MIND though I have a lot of checks to go through before starting. I also haven't managed to talk to my recovery worker about my concerns, what I'm going to do about support etc... as she's on holiday. They need an answer regarding job acceptance by the end of the week so I've no choice but to reply now or lose it.

It leaves me in a right old quandary though about my course. I'm gonna have to either negotiate MIND, negotiate college or drop the course I guess.

depending on when the hours I'm offered are.

Why does everything have to come all at once.

Feeling sad and tired ðŸ˜” I am involved with a Dance for Parkinsonâ€™s group and I do the music side of things. I do my job well and am appreciated, but I am so shy I canâ€™t make conversation with anybody. I hate the feeling that I might be seen as standoffish or judgemental. Itâ€™s got nothing to do with that, Iâ€™m just awkward around virtually everybody. I want to connect but I canâ€™t. Perhaps an 18 year old who lacks confidence is understandable, but at my age it is just tragic.

I share an office with someone who started putting the heating on in August. Shes pretty much never not wore a coat apart from perhaps 2-3 days somewhere in July.

She now turns up to work in something that looks like you could walk to the north pole in..sits there shivering, puts a hoodie, jacket and her little portable heater on. Theres me and this other guy wearing at most a t-shirt (and to be fair we recently stopped with shorts) and trying to sneak the window or a door open to get a bit of a breeze in our bloody sauna...office, I mean office

Painting Box - Yep i'm a people pleaser but silly me just grins and bear it wish i had a backbone and tell to F off by now i should of learnt it that life lesson but no i hate conflict.... its deffo energy draining... i can relate on being shy and quiet which i bloody hate... i get the same thing being standoffish coz i'm quiet... grrrr oh well

I sometimes tell people to F off. It doesn't usually work out that well though. I agree conflict is very energy draining. I've also been called standoffish bc I'm quiet. grrrrrrr
