Show him this place while you're at it, it'll help him to understand.

Yeah, I've basically printed off a load of stuff about SA and APD, and gone through it all, highlighting and adding notes. Then I'm writing a list of my symptoms now, cos if I show the doctor a load of stuff I've found on the net he probably won't believe me, but if I can pinpoint times when I've symptoms then he might. I'm just gonna go talk to my Dad about it tomorrow, then maybe my Mum on Monday, and after that I might make an appointment at the doctor's. I really wasn't sure that I have SA, but reading through my symptoms is scary. I'm sure there's more that I've forgotten.

Innamorata, I recognise you from the Teens Forum,

Good to see you on this one, have as much fun as the rest of us mental peeps

Doctors really don't have enough time to care less about the details. They will probably offer you
SSRI's (the new antidepressants) which I would recommend you try. They made me much more
relaxed in life.

As for you Mum and Dad, they'll either believe you or not, either way (my folks didn't) it's good
to tell them and get it out of your system.

Good Luck.

Haha, oh god. I've never had people recognise me on another site before! Thanks No one on TF knows I have SA, apart from my fiance, I'm waiting till I get diagnosed to tell people.
