That penultimate episode was like the ultimate "**** you, we're jumping the shark in a ****ing tank bitches!". I was dumbstruck that they would actually be stupid enough to go there, and the other half of me was laughing out loud at how bad the show had got and wishing I'd stopped watching at series 3. |

At the risk of being called a big wussy pansy, the moment in doctor who where he had to wipe Donna's memory had me quite choked up , I think I was Manstrateing or something .
re. skins, shit as it was I quite enjoyed watching it for trash value till they portrayed mental illness and treatment in a way which was at best sensationalist and at worst dangerously irresponsible. about half way though I swore off ever watching it again. |

Re: Saddest scene in a TV series
Damn! I shouldn't have read this thread! There are some serious spoilers of shows that I've been meaning to watch for times but now have been utterly and completely ruined!! My own fault but it caught me off guard
Could TS put a spoiler alert in the thread title to prevent other thickies like me from stumbling over endings they didn't want to know about? |

Re: Saddest scene in a TV series
The end of The Snowman when the snowman melts and the oboe plays.
Not really a TV programme but the end of The Railway Children when Bobby cries: "Daddy, oh my Daddy". Beth dying in Little Women (which actually happens in the book Good Wives. Beth (partially) recovers from her first bout of illness in Little Women). Rachel dying in Cold Feet. For some reason I've also cried at the episode of The Simpson's in which Maggie utters her first word 'Daddy' and no-one is around to hear it. It's the more moving because Bart always called him Homer and Lisa's first word was Bart). |

Something else which is ancient history now was when James Bellamy killed himself in Upstairs Downstairs.I was only a boy at the time and I remember being quite upset about it for days afterwards. |
