If I recall, one of the threads was about jacket potatoes and I thought: well, jacket potato is jacket potato, how can you vary this meal? I only tried it maybe 5 times, was 2 different species of jacket potato and I don't think I saw any more different

Same about the pudding. What is the pudding? I've read all of the answers and I don't think I recognise any of them... So how do I miss all this in shops? Where do you buy these? Do you make it by yourself? Is pudding the same as the pie or pie is just a subcategory of pudding?

Teach me please on the food and how to be friends with it.

Make this: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/...tever-tiramisu
but cut the sugar to three spoons and increase the Marsala to 150ml (it's quite easy to make as long as you have an electric whisk, also make sure you have the mascarpone out at room temperature for a while before-hand, so it's softer).

Proper chocolate eclairs (not supermarket ones).
Rhubarb crumble
Pinapple crumple
Anything that's deeply chocolaty - ie. Rich chocolate cheese cake or hot pud. Or gnache based deserts.
Hot treacle pudding/golden syrup pudding

Pudding is something that (if you're sticking to the rules) you have after your dinner. So, for the unadventurous, it could be a yogurt or a piece of fruit.

There are many, many puddings. Two traditional British ones are:

Crumble - you put raw fruit sprinkled with sugar in a pudding dish. To make the crumble you use butter, flower and sugar and make it into bread crumbs with your fingers. Then you put it on top of the fruit. It then cooks in the oven. You can serve it with cream, custard or ice cream.

Rice Pudding - people make this in different ways. I put pudding rice in a pyrex dish with warm milk, sugar and nutmeg and cook it in the oven. Then sprinkle it with Muscovado sugar.
Very impressive...they not have a greggs in your part of the world?:0

I prefer a berry crumble to apple or rhubarb.
Apple pie with ice cream
Panna cotta
Cheesecake (preferably not baked, it's too heavy)
Trifle
Sticky toffee pudding

It's funny how in the UK we use the word pudding to mean the same as dessert, so anything sweet that you would have after your main meal.

But a pudding is actually a specific dessert as well that has a sponge base which is often in the shape of an upside down bowl and some kind of sauce. So for example sticky toffee pudding, chocolate pudding, summer fruit pudding... there's also traditional things like jam rolypoly and spotted dick, but beware of googling that one lol.
