That sounds like an American recipe, they tend to measure ingredients in cups for some reason. Should be able to google it and get a conversion.

Really over the top characters in soap operas. Watched Hollyoaks recently for the first time in ages. Ellie's mum is a complete pantomime villain and Chelsee Heeley's character is so cartoon-ish. Nearly as much as Jorgie Porter was!

I find with pensioners the most important thing is simplicity. There's no point having loads of fancy-pants features if they'll only be activated accidentally by someone who doesn't know how to turn them off again. My nan switched her new TV from digital to analogue and it stayed that way until the analogue broadcasts ended.

You can buy the giant purple ones but weirdly only tesco stocked them this year, and none of my local ones had it! I ended up buying cadburys caramel and shoved a few hazelnuts in tastier than the original.

^ I'm absolutely on your side about the caps facing out. Having them facing inwards makes no sense at all.

I started to wonder whether you actually had some kind of clever system in your house where opened bottles are placed cap forward in the fridge and unopened ones are placed in the opposite way to ensure a second bottle of a drink doesn't get opened without the first being finished, thus maximising conservation of freshness and carbonation of drinks refrigerated in your household.

That would be clever, but would still piss me off.
