First of all I am 19, male from scotland.

I have had SA all my life, but still very hopeful that I can overcome it by myself. It is the only part of my life that I want to change. The rest of my life is great at the moment But my life would be that much better if I was more confident, was able to get out of my head, find someone and enjoy life instead of fearing it.

I joined as I hope that we can help each other overcome SA as much as possible, and talk about issues so we don't feel so alone. although I have some great friends I can't talk to them about shyness as they just wouldn't understand, the people I am friends with are always people that talk alot so I don't have to talk so much.

I finally went to the doctors a few days ago and hope to finally get this area of my life handled.
