Hello all,

Got 0 posts so far and thought I might as well my first post be my introduction here. I was born in a southern EU country (yeah, I know, boo, Brexit and all that), have lived in this country for the past 14 years now and love it here.

Like (most) everyone on this great forum, I suffer from anxiety but it is of a very selective kind in that it only manifests itself in social settings, such as when talking to strangers. To make matters worse, my long term relationship broke down at the end of last year -- in what was the greatest timing ever --, which has meant that, since then, I have had zarro friends and no social life. Not really being able to effectively talk to strangers and not having any friends at the moment, does mean that I have found improving my situation quite difficult.

Anyway, I'm determined to improve myself and my life, and part of that involves joining and participating in this wonderful online community. I'm looking forward to getting to know people -- can already see there are some interesting characters around! -- and hopefully I can make a positive impact on people too!
