Default How to get through the day?

Does anyone else lie in bed at stupid o'clock (awake since 4.30 am) worried about how on earth you are going to get from here to the other end of the day?

Every day. Sitting here on the sofa right now thinking of how I have to put on my happy self to go to work and pretend to be normal when I feel like Im at the bottom of a pit and there's no way to get out.

Exactly, my exterior says everything ok here, inside my head I'm screaming.

Sometimes I do wish the day would be over and whatever I need to do is out of the way.

All I want to do is be in bed. I'm not lazy, I just feel safest there.

Yeah me too, in fact on my days off all I want to do is sleep I'm so knackered by pretending I'm ok.

I don't get it that badly and can go out and do whatever needs to be done. Just wondering so as to better understand, what sort of thoughts and feelings do you experience when you feel this way?

It's the fear of not being able to cope with situations throughout the day. Lying in bed when I wake up thinking all the negative things that ARE GOING to happen. It's irrational but there every morning.

I get this too, but simply think it's from not addressing things that are bothering you,
I hate conflict and confrontation so tend to allow shit to happen that should really be dealt with,
I let things slide and then it's all that unadressed stuff that bothers me kicking around my head every morning,
So much so that I end up dreading every new day,
Nothing's going to change till I start making changes myself.
I think I need to learn how to deal with things decisively straight away, at the time ,
otherwise it'll just be yet another ball and chain or issue keeping me down and gnawing away at my feelings.

Yes and it's genuinely making me physically ill now because it's happening way more often. I have a fit bit that tracks my sleep and the results for the last couple of weeks have not been good. I've only been sleeping OK on my days off but I can't get a decent sleep when I'm working and it's really getting in the way of me doing my job that I actually wish I'd get sacked I feel so bad about it. But then again my job is extremely demanding for someone with anxiety anyways

Bed or Sofa is my safe place! Hate waking up in the mornings to face the dreaded day. Love end of the day and nights when I can forget and switch off for a little inner peace.
