I know the first single I bought was Train - Drops of Jupiter.
I'm not 100% sure on the first album, but I think it was Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP.

It's quite possible I bought Kylie and Jason's Especially for you single at the same time.

My 1st album is possibly even worse also vinyl from Woolworths. In my defence I was only about 9!

First single I bought was "Are Friends Electric?" by Gary Numan when I was about 8, I stilll like it's sound now. First album I bought was "Tonic for the Troops" by Boomtown Rats not long after, which hasn't dated so well.

Mo you've just made me remember something. When I was a kid there was a magazine called Lookin. And I think I had a free record? on that. And it might have been Pet shop boys or something. And it covered Jason and Kylie.

Haha I suppose my first purchase would be an NSync CD (their first). :D But my favourite albums as a kiddo were new age tunes, like Enya. I would always listen to those albums for sparking creativity.

I was 16 when I heard this in a record shop, blew me away for some reason. I still listen to 70s/80s electronic music of that time regularly. Bitter, sweet memories...

No Idea why I bought my first album Slade – Old New Borrowed and Blue. Then I liked ELO, then I went dark, Numan, Foxx, Bauhaus, Original Human League, Joy Division etc
