Hi I am new here looking for friends

Hello everyone,

I came accross this website in a news paper and I was surprised to see a name for what I suffer with, I also suffer with depression at times but I think that has a lot to do with me not having many friends or much of a social life. Sometimes I will argue with my boyfriend over any thing really stupid just to get out of a social function because I feel so scared and anxious and its exhausting for me being around people, making chit chat, pretending to be normal, when all I want to do is get away. The thing is to look at me you would not think I have a problem, a lot of people comment on my looks, tell me I am really attractive so therfore I must be very confident and this drives me mad because I am the opposite and its how you feel on the inside that really counts.
Anyway I am hoping to chat with people who have similar anxiety problems to myself because sometimes I feel as if I am all alone and no-one understands.
