I didn't really feel a second series was needed either as it all looked pretty wrapped up by the end of the first series. And I do agree, I think they made a second series because the first was so popular.

Have to say though, I am pleasantly surprised by how good the second series has been so far. Definitely re-watch that episode

That's what I was thinking. Was the whole flashback sequence someone imagining how the events played out, as a result of Joe's 'confession', or did the events actually happen?

Maybe what we saw was Mr Tennant imagining how events played out as Joe described them? and not what actually happened? That's just a bit too complicated though surely? Why would you confess to it if you didn't do it?
