Been raining almost continuously for the last week up here n the sodden NE of Scotland.

Cant remember the last time we saw any sun, although there are rumors that the rain may ease sometime next week...

Had a little bit of lying snow in Aberdeen the last couple of days. Just a light dusting ,and its on the way out already.

Nice enough for a change, though.

God, I love this bright, cold weather. It's heaven. Just went for a walk across crunchy grass, all silver in the starlight. So much better than the usual mild, grey, rainy horror we have to put up with.

if you mean the takeaway apps .
Nope no chance they close, they just cover themselves by sending a text out to the couriers that says something like " There's high winds and snow forecast for tomorrow and the roads may be icy and dangerous, we'll throw you an extra shiny coin per delivery you complete. Only work if it's safe to do so. .

Yeah, can definitely sympathise with you on that one (i'm a courier myself). I meant specifically groceries but, yeah, in general anything that needs to go from A to B, there's a lot of people depending on things arriving on their doorsteps right now.

Have you got winter tyres for your bike?

No , I've got 23mm track tyres

the trick is to go fast enough that the thrill of speed overtakes the fear of death.
I've been doing a fair few supermarket deliveries at the moment , so even if the supermarkets do stop you can a fairly good range through Stuart/Roo

Just had a random storm come and go. One minute it's a dreary, drizzly day, the next it was like someone had opened the gates of hell. Black sky, really loud booming thunder, full on torrent of rain, followed by full on torrent of hail. Then back to rain. Lasted about 20 mins.
It's still raining heavily but nothing like that 20 min show. It was quite impressive.

Why can't the weather ever be nice as in sunny, not raining, but pleasantly warm with a soft gentle breeze
