Default Objective analysis and compartmentalising

Work is bollox at the moment. In fact, work is quite often bollox. Got something scary next week (big presentation) that I'm really not prepared for and that can go a million shades of crap.

I need to remind myself though that "it's only work" and not let it eat me up. Sometimes I can have detached thinking like that and see a way through, other times I get caught up in it.

1. Identify what the current crap mood breaker is
2. Compartmentalise it and decide what if anything I can do about it without adversely affecting other things such as health
3. Continue living the rest of my life

I'm sure that's the grown up way of approaching life's day to day crap. I really need to do that more often

Good luck with the presentation. Preparation counts for a lot, you can't do too much of that.

I agree about trying to be more objective, as I know I tend to get over-emotional about some things. It's not at all helpful, you do need to stand back from it. Mindfulness is useful.
