Hi, it's hard to put into words, but here goes...
I have decided to join this forum as I have struggled throughout life with social anxiety, only in the last few years have I realised that it's not just me!
My anxiety is very high when I'm in a group of people, I tend to just shrink into a corner and go silent in fear of being judged... What makes it worse is that I start to worry that people may think I'm better than them as im not participating in the conversation, which is completely untrue.
I'm usually very anxious for a while before the event, it builds up inside and can make me moody/snappy.
I think somekind of group therapy would help in my case, which is something I'd like to try...
