^Nice, I read a bit on a future garage forum, apparently it's more like a movement than genre, tbh thats understandable since future garage seems to be garage but kinda influenced by dubstep/dnb (am I correct) im thinking even the structure of the music might be influenced by some dubstep rather than just the wubs, but I don't make any music.

^ I suppose that might be true now. At first it was a more narrowly defined sound, a garage structure but focused on a darker more tech minimalistic sound using haunting vocals a bit like some of Burials work but with the garage rhythm (I think I'd go as far as to say that Burials tracks are what got producers back into the garage sound). Now it's got a lot more mixed with a lot of the more dance floor friendly tracks, more organic sounds and there are many more upbeat old skool style garage tracks.

Here's a typical example of what future garage was when the genre appeared, it certainly has a lot of similar production values to chillstep:

If you're into electronic music, check out 123Mrk's EP called 'no-name'. It's stunning.

Some of Whistla tunes remind me of the few Atjazz tracks I've listened too, especially the beats

I have wandered over from the over 30s thread and it took me a good few moments to grasp that this is about music and not real estate

I want to find more future garage artists. Any suggestions?
The problem is that it's sometimes hard to find an artist I like.

^The Visions song is very nice

I'm new to the Strictly Rhythm label, but the few tracks I've heard from them sounds perfect to me. I like how their tracks sound really clubby but at the same time chillaxing

I must admit that I came to this thread hoping to see pictures of some jolly nice houses. Whilst at the same time wondering why garages are so exciting

^The names match each other, so do the genres . Thanks for that fact, I remember watching a doc bout the history of electronic music. I think it talked about how house came about.
