An abandoned asylum. I like them, I have an affinity for them (is that good English...?).

A rothko painting called white centre with yellow, pink and lavender on rose. a lovely pic, but don't think it is quite worth the $72.8 million someone paid for it in 2007.

Great to see you and your beautiful tresses back, Cave Girl.. I liked your freaky wee, doll one with the snout that you had just recently. You always have the most mental avatars, CG.

I've changed mine loads since I last posted in this thread. At present, it's a pic of the stunningly beautiful French singer/actress, Françoise Hardy.

Tout les garçons et les filles de mon age...

I forget the rest.

Mine is still me, badly lid from only one side in black and white with the contrast turned way up.

I keep coming back to this particular avatar because it seems to sum up my life somehow. In 'Vertigo' Jimmy Stewart's character is left clinging to a building and we never see him rescued. Although we see him go about his life after this scene, film analysts tend to view this as his mental status. Whether that be a limbo or a Freudian death drive issue or whatever. Anyway, it sums up my indecisiveness pretty well.

There is something appealing about abandoned buildings in general, I think. I prefer them to used ones certainly.

My avatars usually refer to music in one way or another.
