IMO The film is more about imperfections being the good stuff (the emotion/love/romance) in life. You can use these vulnerabilities in two ways: one is to hit people when theyre down and make things right/sort them out. and the second is to love them for it (& maybe sort things in this way) - as Will was loved more for not being able to play the piano for example. The maths meant nothing on its own. The fields medal winner didnt really have any more than that medal partly because of the way he sells himself and the way he went about achieving it (good will). I picked up many more things but that will do. Many films seem to have a lot of balancing - people getting what they deserve.
