^ Brains and Shakespeare. I've half-finished one, completely failed to start another, and have a couple more next year. It's excellent, but motivation is a serious problem for me.

Introduction to Forensic Science starts in a week, just got an e-mail! I'm travelling about a bit from mid January though so not sure I'll be able to give it much time.

Has anyone else does one yet?

^I've not done one just yet, but I've just signed up for "Critical listening for studio production" and "Begin programming: build your first mobile game", which starts 2 days before I turn 30

I've done half of one, I keep putting off finishing it. It's hard to find the motivation, but fortunately you can complete them really slowly if you want. The teachers only stick around moderating the course for a few weeks but the course materials and questions are still available.

That's great, thanks for letting me know. I'll probably finish them really slowly too so would like access to the material for a while.

^ It's dangerous though. Now I've realised that I can take my time, I'll probably take months.

Ha, I'm the same. I need deadlines or I'll just endlessly think 'I'll do it tomorrow'.

Yea this is brilliant, it's all the rage now isn't it. I really fancy doing a Philosophy course, or learn how to make electronic music so I'll keep an eye out for such courses. I did part of a Nutrition course and Music Tech course on Coursera which were both pretty good, again it's just the motivation getting started I struggle with.

I might have a look at the Brain one, I just found an Introduction to Philosophy course starting in Jan on https://www.coursera.org/
It's a UK based University as well, normally they are based in the US so quite looking forward to it!

I've wanted to study philosophy at degree level for some time so I'm hoping it will give me a good idea of what to expect.
Oh brilliant me too! And recently I've been watching some documentaries on Netflix which really sparked my interest (Waking Life and Examined Life)
I'll private message when it gets going to catch up on how were doing with it!

I'm doing Introduction to Philosophy and Introduction to Psychology as a Science on Coursera. So far so good.

The philosophy one is with the University of Edinburgh and is only 1-2 hours study per week and takes 7 weeks. The psychology one is with the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA) and is about 8-10 hours per week and takes 12 weeks. They're free and you get a statement of accomplishment when you pass.

I'm going to keep doing courses with Coursera until I resume my Open University degree in October. I'll probably study for the rest of my life now I've found out about these sort of things.
