Do you wash your fruit and veg before consuming them?

Yep! Have a super paranoid hubby who when we first got married ( 25 years ago) made me wash an orange before I peeled it!!! I don***8217;t do that now!

Sometimes I do, depends if I can be bothered. I tend to for salad for some reason but generally eat unwashed fruit. That sounds gross

Yeah mostly. I funnily think about chemicals on my fruit and veg rather than the real issue which is probably ppl fondling stuff in the supermarket

Also things like grapes, strawberries and so on always taste better washed to me (this used to totally wind a friend of mine up), like they've had a refreshing rinse.

I've never washed veg, always boil it to cook anyway

Mushrooms yes, onions no (just peel the outer layer off), bananas no, tomatoes no, potatoes if I don't peel them, any other veg is probably deep-fried by the time I see it.

In vaguely related OCD news - its pointless washing your hands in a public khazi because you have to turn the tap off once you're done, the tap head being covered in traces of excrement from previous hand washers.

I have opted for only sometimes, If it is pre packaged then no I don't wash it.
