Default CALM helpline

Has anyone called this evening helpline? I was feeling particularly vulnerable yesterday and was tempted. I didnt get on with Samaritans really as they seem a bit passive in approach!

Sorry Angela I was certain that I'd replied to this thread! Not that my imagined response was particularly helpful because I've never rang them!

Did you ring CALM? Everything is worth a try. They look a bit more modern than The Samaritans and might take on a different approach to talking to the callers. It sounds like they're an alternative so might be worth giving them a ring the next time you're feeling that way

I think they have a text chat or online chat as well. I'm not someone who feels comfortable talking on the phone so that sounds good to know.

No I didnt ring in the end biscuits. I tend to have these numbers stored on my phone and ready if I feel desperate. But I have my mum staying and she is in the flat a lot on an evening which means I feel to inhibited to ring .
