The newbie is in town!
Hello guys,
How do you do an introduction? Don't really know Anyway, Im 23 yrs old from London, graduated with a degree in engineering but now officially a shelf stacker , I figured something was wrong after being rejected from a graduate job for passing all competencies except for the social skills criteria, only recently I figured I suffer from social anxiety, I found this quite wierd as I went through school, college and university being a total loner and nobody noticed Secondly, I dont really have a supporting family, never had any real friends I felt I 'connected' with nor any love life. I have dealt every single problem in my life on my own ( overcoming MMO addiction, severe psoriasis) which on reflection has made me a very resilient person. I've taken the first steps in overcoming this: being more open around people, actually talking about myself and my feelings and going to join a SASH group soon. Even as i write this, I get anxious thoughts of how someone at work will read this and know its me and know I have social anxiety, Let's overcome this little parasite of a disorder together and get back to the path of sucess! |

Re: The newbie is in town!
Welcome to the forum.
Congrats on the degree BTW. I'm studying at the moment. I know what you mean about posting stuff. In fact it goes as far as day to day conversations. I find myself vetting everything I say to people. |
