Default tetley decaf teabags are rank

caffeine is liquid stress

i switched to decaffienated coffee a while back and enjoy decaf, but i recently bought some tetley decaf and it tastes like...rusty raw potatoes

its got this really harsh chemical taste, i guess i can have it along with a strongly flavoured meal but i just had it with some donuts and i can't believe how bad it tastes x/

anyone got a decaffeinated tea recommendation? :|

A friend of mine spent a long time trying out different decaf brands and finally settled on Barry's:

Decaf tea, eh?

Maybe Twinings or a loose leaf would be a nicer taste experience?

gl

perhaps tetley doesn't go well with your vile english water thats all full of lager, roast beef and contraceptive pill run-off. ugh its rank down south :x

in scotland we make water out of rain! can you imagine, it just comes from the sky and generally isn't made out of human piss

but yeah good call on the twinings, i love their english breakfast

when i foolishly gave up caffeine I found yorkshire teas decaf versions the least offensive. but none of them really hit the spot it’s like alcohol free beer or (shudder) vegan cheese .

Decaf Yorkshire tea is the best I’ve had. Passable even with this vile southern water.

oh i totally get that it doesnt hit the spot, im convinced that all tea has going for it in terms of hitting spots is caffiene. gotta reduce all the same. i guzzle it all day, im looking at maybe a proper tea in the morning and one in the afternoon and the rest of the time just decaf. thanks for the recommend, i shall be making purchases

Just drink rooibos tea! It's really mellow and nice, even if you don't usually like herbal teas.

i'm down with teh herbal tea, i dunno how i havent tried this stuff yet, nor have i sampled the delights of an actual red bush

ive had more today, so i can maybe explain it all a bit better to the non-connoisseur. its not really a metallic taste, it actually closely resembles fish. so its not so much a case of tea is tea, more like, "tea is tea that doesnt taste like a rotten trout"
