"And it was written in the tablets..."
I***8217;m thinking of buying my son a small tablet for Christmas ***8211; the obvious candidates seem to be the Nexus 7, the Kindle Fire HD, and the iPad Mini, but which to choose? I had a go on all three yesterday and preferred the iPad Mini because of its larger 7.9 inch screen ***8211; the Nexus and Kindle looked and felt so much smaller after trying out the iPad. Any thoughts...? I***8217;d probably choose the even larger Kindle Fire HD 8.9 (which has an amazing 1920x1200 display and costs less than an iPad Mini), but it seems Amazon won***8217;t be shipping those in the UK before Christmas. |

Out of those three I'd go for....none of them.
The iPad mini is probably really easy to use and so on but I don't like the amount of control Apple keep over their ecosystem, you don't actually own any of the music/videos etc. that you buy from iTunes. The Nexus 7 has probably the best of the bunch but doesn't have enough storage capacity on board and has no SD card slot. The Kindle fire is a restricted Android tablet which defeats the point of the Android OS. I think you should look at a 7-inch Samsung GalaxyTab - There are a few different models. |

I vote for the Asus Transformer Prime series. I've got one and it's bloody good.
