Default Bonfire night

Are you doing anything for bonfire night this year?

I'll be at work. I think my son might be having a bonfire with his dad though.

I'm staying in and hiding from the scary bangs.
I'm also going to watch V for Vendetta and eat bonfire themed food because I just love theme nights

I did consider that
I saw a recipe in the somerfield magazine thingie they do for sausage and baked bean casserole, so I'm going to give that a try.
Also if you get a swiss roll and slice it up it looks somewhat like catherine wheels.
I need to think of better food

I went to a display on Saturday.
I used to buy loads of big fireworks but I can't afford them anymore.

Hopefully the homemade curry won't turn out to be the mother of all fireworks in the morning!

Hopefully not.

I suppose I could take the mother of all curries and a homemade firework but that would just be asking for trouble.

I'd like to go see some fireworks but my SA is just too bad atm. I'd have liked to have got some sparklers but I chickened out of asking for some in Sainsburys as they seemed to be in some kind of vault and there was a long queue behind me.

Perhaps next year I'll make it to a big event, though as Chimpy doesn't like loud bangs it might just be me and the nephew.

I just tend to look out of my window at the various displays people are having in there gardens. I know its not on the same scale as going to an organised display, but at least its free. Already plenty of fireworks going off near me.

Wow! That looks stunning!

I went for the look out of my window and watch other people's fireworks for free option this year. No standing around in the cold for me

we had fireworks and a bonfire in the garden, same as every year.
Stupid neighbours (who hate us for some reason) called the fire brigade on us for no reason, just because they like to cause trouble.
Pretty pathetic tbh, wasting their time when they could have been somewhere that actually needed them
