^ Maybe you could just put a loss amount, or even a +/-, if you don't want to revel too much but still want to join in?

Find it hard to read the actual number on my scales. Just know that pointer is heading in the right direction. Current weight when done at depot clinic( digital scales that you don't have to look right down to see the reading) was nearer 240 than 239 lbs. Ideally would like to lose another 70.

Have ordered some talking scales so when I get them will be able,I hope,to participate. What day is going to be weigh in day?

I have now bought some scales on click n collect and will use them tonight, thanks for the motivation folks.

My main aim is to just remain a healthy weight, not put on any weight really but I dare say I could loose a few pounds, lets see what my scales say before I decide. Not that I think the BMI scale has much worth but I would like to stay out of the 'obese' range. Last time I weighed myself I was 13 stone 10, which is 191lbs according to my records. In high heels that keeps me out of obese band, I am not sure heels are allowed though, or tall hats LMAO

I vary massively throughout the week so having a fixed day would be good, I am normally lightest on monday morning. And am one mcdonalds heavier by the evening

I have 4 stone to lose and will be weighing myself on Thursday mornings as that's my usual weigh in day (I have been dieting since January). I have to admit though, today was not a good day as I came back home and had a load of junk food this evening.

I still havent "installed" them yet but managed to get a weight out of them this morning. Seems like 13st is a nice round (but not actually round) number to aim for. I will get my readings mondays for now, although my initial weight was taken tuesday morning.

A disappointing week . No weight loss, stayed static at 239.6 lbs . I guess it's better than gaining though.

The thing is I haven't got a diet plan and although I have lost weight over the last 5-6 weeks it wasn't through a conscious effort to do so.

Managed to lose a lb by this morning's weigh in so now 238.6. Would have preferred 2 lbs but it's a step in the right direction .

I am trying now but through trying to eat less rather than calorie counting or a specific diet plan. I know it will be relatively slow progress as the antipsychotic I am on is not conducive to weight loss. So long as I can maintain a 1-2lb loss per week I'll be pleased.
One of my problems with trying to lose weight in the past was being too fanatical and then when I did slip I never got back on track again.

That is down 3.3 lbs since last week, which feels ok, very easy to put back on though. I should point out I fluctuate quite a bit but am making a real effort to weigh at the same point in my food/drink/exercise rather than a set time.

As an example, last night, just before dinner I was 13st 7.3lbs, mainly due to the fasting. Technically I have put on almost 3 stone in a day. How much does a large big mac meal and double cheeseburger weigh ? I bet it is 3 stone. If not the rest is tea.

My efforts this week have been :-
  • Skipping meals (not advised),
  • Only carrying one thing at once so I make more trips to achieve stuff. This morning i had a folder and bag to take from my bedroom to my car. Two trips were required and it didnt feel like exercise. You would be surprised how quick you get used to it.
  • Higher alcohol beer.

The fluctuation is mainly because I drink a lot of beer at night and dont eat at weekend. I also dont generally pee when I am not at home so am used to carrying all my daily drinks around until I get home. The graph my snazzy scales show me looks like a roller coaster. With long downward slope from friday to monday.

This is one of my problems or more accurately eating because I am bored or empty. I tend to eat less If I have company which isn't very often.
