codecs
i downloaded a film on limewire for an 11 year old who is dying of hair cancer/exzema/bubonic mixomatosis on an oil rig with permission from the film distributors to download it. but it says the computer does not supoprt the file and i'm wondering if there might be something i can do to do with codecs, because its my day off and id like to see this film.
oh, and he might start slipping in and out of consciousness anyday now. |

You just install the file and use your current media player, I use windows media player for example, the codec is simply a program that decodes (or encodes, but don't worry about this bit) the video data only, and makes no other changes, it can be easily uninstalled also.
Basically makes the file work , although there is no guarantee the file you downloaded uses this codec, but in my opinion it most likely is, it will do no harm to try anyway. EDIT: yes, your system should automatically use it!. |
