My uncle felt fine but lost a shitload of weight in a short amount of time and the doctor told him that it was a side effect of the new diabetes pills that he was talking.

He was still concerned and wanted another docs opinion, and the other doc told him that yes, the pills do cause you to lose weight but NOT the amount that my uncle had lost and not at the rate he lost it.

He said his GP should have sent him for tests immediately.

Anyway he was sent for tests and they found a cancerous tumour in his oesophagus. About 2 months later he was gone.

If I were you Ruth I'd get you're dad to see another doc and get further tests!

I hope everything's OK with him.

On my fourth course of antibiotics in the last two months or so...here's hoping I'm not allergic to these ones as well! Does taking antibiotics kill off my good bacteria or something? Vague recollections of gcse science...

Anyway, I feel terrified, intensive group cbt starting Monday!

Yes, they do kill off good bacteria. There are things called probiotics to restore such good bacteria.

Aaah, sorry you've got this hanging over you Rainbowsky As Frusty says, better to keep at the doctor to make sure they don't miss anything and whatever's going on your dad can get the right medication or advice to make him feel better. He's not still on the painkillers is he? Are they actually making him throw up?

Sorry you're feeling like that Twoflower . I sometimes feel like my mind and body weren't built for this world. Guess some of us just have more sensitive constitutions. Kinda sucks!

I had been feeling calmer for a while, not so restricted but I went a hill walk the other day and the weather wasn't so good so as I got higher the clouds started to enclose around us, you could actually see them meeting. It was terrifying I felt so claustrophobic but also felt like I couldn't go back because there was such a big group of us. Can't stop thinking about the fear and panic though. Feel so restricted because of it.

Ooh, do I'd love to learn to swim. I think it seems like a peaceful and fun way to exercise. I can't seem to get myself to relax and stretch out so that I float though! Do you swim often?
