How do I find friends with common interests?
Hi, this is my first post and I'm not sure if I'm doing this right...
Anyways, I have a group of four friends who share little to no interests with me. One likes drawing and one likes writing, but that's about it. I tried to talk about my interests but I usually just get interrupted with them talking about theirs. How am I supposed to make friends who share similar interests if I'm not allowed to be in online chatrooms or the like?

Hi
 Why are you not allowed to be in online chatrooms? Anyway, meetup.com might be worth a try if you live in a large population centre, though I've not had much luck with it. Though I don't really have a lot of interests anyway.

One way is to try a new activity and find a new interest - then maybe you can meet people that way. So maybe a course or a class - or through a volunteer project etc.

^ Are you still a teenager AnonyMouse? It is true that it can be less safe to be meeting strangers on the internet, especially if you're under 18. But you could look for groups that are centred around interests that you do have, and make sure you're not giving out personal information etc so you keep yourself safe.

^^ oh, sorry I didn't realise you were not an adult. I don't know if meetup.com is suitable for under 18 year olds or not.
