Sometimes seeking the truth will probably lead to some disappointment or losing friends.

The latter and the former, if anyone uses either of those in conversation I can never work out in my head which is which, even though L (last) F (first).

I'm still unrepressing stuff; it's so weird. I feel like I've been deprogrammed from a cult; the cult being the world. SMH, man, SMH. I don't trust my own mind and I don't trust anyone else either.

Buying a bass guitar.
Since I was a teenager I have been fascinated by the way a good bass line holds the song together also I am a huge fan of both John Deacon (Queen) and Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
I've messed around with the 6 string guitar but never really felt comfortable playing it, I feel a bass would suit me better physically.

Ah who am I kidding.

Just wondering what happened to all the visitors who said they would come and see! Can see how people become very isolated when they live alone.

What is personal is personal to you however going with the saying that no one is going to save you. No one cares about your problems as much as you.

I know a few people probably do but most people don’t.

For example, I’ve spoken lots about being diagnosed, I’m on a SAUK site however if I talk about this to a cousin or even an old family friend they don’t like it. I guess because the conversation becomes selfish in a way. No one has ever questioned why I’m anxious to me, they just react to it.

However this issue is personal to me but I have to accept no one else cares about my social anxiety, depression and autism like I do.

I think I may have finally grown up.

The fella had poo-pooed an idea I had a while back to move a table into another room because he thought it would look too crowded with the sofa that's already in there. I measured up, showed him there'd still be plenty of space, but he wouldn't have it.

At the weekend we moved things around a bit as a tester for Christmas when there will be a few people over. The plan was to move the table into the room first and then move the sofa out. But what did we discover? There's plenty of room with both in there. And we're going to be leaving it like it because we both agreed it's better than the previous set up. (I'm very happy about this as it means there'll be somewhere else for me to sit with a nice view while working.)

I'd be well within my rights to say 'I told you so!', but have resisted. EVEN THOUGH I TOLD YOU SO.

Maybe one day I'll grow up even more and not feel the need to write a post about it to advertise my growth.

Perhaps that's what the council believes and why they haven't got very far in discussions with the union - "Not happy with pay and conditions? How difficult can collecting a few recycling bins and the odd bag of rubbish be?!"

It might last until April next year: https://twitter.com/BenRTWeisz/statu...nJqkHp_LA&s=19

Can you really be authentic when you are suffering from severe anxiety?

I just went to the canteen at work my anxiety was triggered and everything I’ve been watching by Teal Swan just went out of the window. It’s like anxiety has a way of making you be inauthentic if you aren’t at terms with it.

^ definitely. It's all consuming. I'll be anxious and think I need to act happy in that situation, but I look anxious, but I need to look happy...and I probably end up looking constipated instead.

Well, I went to my job interview, and it was okay! Yay! But I don't know whether or not to take it if I'm offered it. I will need to buy a car because of the location. But that may be unavoidable. And the hours are guaranteed. Need to decide. And apply for more jobs ofc.

I have also decided I'm going to start doing my phone calls for the therapy next week if possible when I have the house to myself (unless something else comes up.)

I just came home from work. Had overtime due to a business party my department had to operate and then having to reorganise the hall the party was in into meeting rooms.

I’m only a few weeks in. I was considering quitting the job although my manager persuaded me to stay. After today, I definitely want to leave. I feel I can be in a better suited job.

This is a major reason I find an autism diagnosis important for me. I’m British but so far my job history consists of working in warehouses short term, being a kitchen porter, a university housekeeper and this. Mostly jobs that don’t involve much interaction, relatively low skilled and with mostly colleagues who are immigrants. I feel I should be able to aim higher but my low confidence which is maintained by social difficulties makes it really hard to aim higher. I think I don’t want any more hospitality jobs.

I was briefly thinking of studying again but idk what I want to study. I know I don’t want to do this job and minimum wage blue collar jobs long term. If I studied I would have to share the report I got from my assessment as I think the social aspect of college puts me off studying.

^Ah, I need to get somewhere before my face goes.

Thank you everyone. I have not heard, so I need to chase up. This job market is a gift, and I'm not making the most of it. I have not found my periodic motivation that would come around every so often since hitting 40. But I need to, I am losing my sanity, and well, the time that is gone is the time that is gone.

I really ought to start doing something with my Saturday nights. Get out amongst it. Or do something during the Sunday. I'm still thinking about the barmaid from Tuesday. And others. It's given me a little desire. That little black skirt ... a couple of tiny rips in her hose. Cute, but not beyond reach. Soft goth look. Probably likes to be tickled..
