And I agree with biscuit! Push aside Gladys (gently of course) and embark on a night of fine dining and stimulating conversation! Although if you want any tips on the stimulating conversation part, then it's probably best to ask someone else about that. What with me just having finished dedicating a song to a box of chocolates. While also having a curry noodle stain on my t shirt Anyway Best of luck! |

Why The Apprentice Australia has Alan Sugar on instead of some local crappy businessman from down under. Surely they could have dug up some two-bit dodgy market trader from their own hemisphere instead?

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
A conversation about food in another thread reminded me of the past: When I was 10 or so and lived in North Wales I had a Chinese friend whose parents worked in, and lived above, a chip shop. I used to get free chicken and chips occasionally (yum). After I moved to Brighton, I used to write to him for a while and then I stopped. I haven't seen him for years. I feel a bit sad thinking about how I've often not tried to keep in contact with friends.

I wish the sun would come out. It might be mild for the time of year but I'd rather it was colder and sunnier than mild and dull. I do need the sun to lift my mood, at least when I'm stuck at home when not at work.

^ I second what Biscuits said!
I also like the person that you are Choirgirl Only in America could an Actor accidentally shoot and kill someone while on the set of a movie. I can't imagine how Alec Baldwin must be feeling now, especially as he has always been so anti guns.. Why can't I just get out of the front door and do what I should be doing. If I don't get a grip I shall end up acrophobic |

I quite like your style of writing and I love your posts, Choirgirl. I think you're great too
ConsolidaIt can feel even more punishing to have to step outside now the cold and dark days are coming back. Is it only today, or has it been longer? I hope you can find the strength to do what you want to I had come here to say that as soon as my kids are in bed, I just feel so lonely, so empty and overwhelmed by life at the moment, and just want to run away from all the responsibilities. It's been a few months, and it's gotten to the point that I anticipate it as soon as they're finishing their dinner. But I feel a bit better now. Please don't quote. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
Just watched the comments to a popular barber youtuber and see some of the criticisms are from people who don’t seem to know the art of barbering. Maybe goes to show that not every opinion on the internet should be taken so seriously.

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
Maybe I needed to encounter an ex colleague I got really attached to that ended up ghosting me. She would also have periods where she didn’t speak to me then would be friendly. Gossiped about others to me, I’m certain she did the same with others and spoke behind my back about me in bad ways.
I’m thankful I went through the experience because now I know when to not take someones opinion to heart as they could be speaking out of intimidation or jealousy. |

Watching this now. It reminds me of how being a nice guy or people pleaser stops me from being authentic. Because I supress what I want if I feel most people wouldn't like what I want or wouldn't approve. Then some of what I aim for or want isn't genuine but because I think it makes me look good to others. For example, I think I am not the most physically strong man. I feel guilt about that sometimes and want it because it looks good to others but then in reality, I don't care much about strength without social pressure. I don't care much even about being masculine. Also a woman in the vid says how her father wasn't happy when she transitioned especially because he was teaching her how to be a man. It seems like popular knowledge that we should teach men to be men and vice versa and the result of not teaching it is that you end up with men like me, in their 20's , lacking confidence, having low status. Maybe end up with incels as well. But isn't it highly flawed that we teach a person how to be a a man or woman? They are who they are. I think LGBT sometimes puts a spanner in gender roles. I have seen even, youtubers I consider talented in psychology like Teal Swan point out how men are meant to be confident, lead and if they aren't they usually can't have healthy relationships but how does this dynamic work when in an LGBT relationship. It's like the so called gender rules have to be more fluid in an LGBT relationship that the argument than gender roles are natural starts to look flawed. |

How some bodybuilders look older. I think they look older in their teens and 20's alot of times, because there body is developed but can look younger in there older years at 50+ though I think it differs.
I was surprised to see a body builder I follow on Instagram is a year younger than me, he can easily pass for his mid 30's and even late 30s. Makes me suspect that he might be taking steroids. Also bodybuilders seem to have skin that almost looks wrinkly. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
How social media complicates relationships.
Anyways I'm follow another cousin who is in Nigeria. He has liked most of my sisters posts and vice versa on IG. He has a long term girlfrind but I saw that he liked all the posts of another girl on IG which made me question briefly te validity of his relationship. However I like lots of girls on social media myself. I think social media can make a long term relationship hard although it doesn't have to. I think now, more than in the past, being honest matters more. Because dishonesty is the main reason social media would ruin a relationship. Maybe the need for honesty with social media exposes the need for more mental health awareness as well. |
