What's your shoe size?

For a long time I thought I had size 8 feet because my feet were a little too wide for some shoes. Plus new shoes always feel so tight (I didn't realise they loosened up). Then a lady at Clark's measured my feet (as an adult haha) and she told me that I was wearing the wrong shoe size!

I'm 5.5, but usually wear a 6 because it's difficult to get half sizes.

As for myself, I'm a size 10. Although I do have some slippers that are a size 11. They don't fit me perfectly, but still. Ideally I should have returned them for the right size, but I was hoping I could wear them in. It turned out that wasn't the case.

I'm an 8 - a respectable, decent size. Anyone who wants bigger is just being greedy.

12 UK size. This means 12+23 barleycorns, or (12+23)/3 of an inch, which is 11 2/3 of an inch, or just shy of an actual foot.

7, sometimes 8. I'm closer to 7 1/2 (whatever happened to half sizes?) and have wide feet, so require an 8 more often than not.

Whoops - sorry about that, BFG. Forgive my ignorance of how far shoe sizes go up to (I also haven't put my shoe size on the poll either )

Yezzz, half sizes are hard to find! I bought some Italian shoes the other day and they were in half sizes.

Plus - I don't wear leather, which used to be more of a problem. These days so many shoes aren't made of leather.

I'm an 8, but I'll squeeze into a 7 1/2 if I can manage because I prefer the snugness.

I've never seen the film 8 1/2, but I can only assume it was about Fellini's struggle to find a snugger fit than the size 9's they had at his local shoe shop.

Sure, what sizes do you want added?

I take a 5 in sandals, flip flops etc but always a 6 in trainers and boots. I have very high arches, apparently.

Before the Internet it wasn't much fun having to go to every shoe shop in town and ask do you have anything in a size.....they'd come back with some dusty box from the stock room with some hideous shoe no one wanted. Now I just search online and if I see anything I like I buy it and keep them till needed.

I was a 4 for all my adult life til about 10 or so years ago suddenly I'm a 3 in a lot of stuff. Not sure if my feet have shrunk or they readjusted sizing

I feel your pain. My feet don't seem to fit in most shoes. Hence me thinking I was size 8 for a few years haha. When I was a child, I had wide feet and had to have shoes ordered in that were the correct length and width.

My feet aren't particularly wide, just wider than the normal width of shoes, but wide shoes are too wide! So I can never seem to find shoes that fit me properly. They're always a bit too big.
