I fell off the bandwagon and had some galaxy chocolate

It's one step away from sticking my head in a tub of biscuits

I'm also knackered which makes no sense..I actually slept 6-7hrs..thats pretty good going for me! It's usually 4, do I perhaps take my multivitamins AND my iron supplement?

^For the last month or so I have only been eating once a day, about 7pm ish, no breakfast/no lunch/no snacks.

It wasn't seemingly causing any problems apart from the occasional light headedness

The weight loss is slowing to the point now where I can't really be bothered to keep starving myself, I suppose lack of food could explain a lot..My uni days of sleeping whenever I wanted for as long as I wanted are over..I'm quite happy getting by on 3-4hrs sleep (even if its not out of choice) But getting home from work and being ready for bed at 6pm really isnt good for getting out of the stuck in a work rut

I bet you'll be more enthusiastic when you're with real people that you're mentoring. I find it hard to pretend to do something (find it incredibly awkward because I know people are watching). It needs to be the real situation for me to be all jazz hands about it all.
Thanks . Well hopefully anyway!

Yeah. I tend to be better in real situations too. I was the same doing first aid courses at work - the courses were always horrible and I was crap, yet I was the person more often than not that dealt with the real first aid situations and was fine, lol.

I'll prepare my jazz hands for later.

Very depressed lately. Thoroughly sick of this job, to the point that I almost shed a tear at my desk earlier. Frustrated that I can't speak up and chat with people.

Also tired of hearing about Brexit, and problems around the world in general.

I'm just constantly depressed, anxious, tired, and frustrated.

Worried

We are getting some windows replaced but the guy doing them cancelled 2 weeks ago. He is booked in today to do them but my brother ,whos doing all communications with him, hasn't heard from him since friday. He put a window in our downstairs bathroom last year , we asked for a receipt but he never gave one nor for the repair to our wall he did.
We've had scaffolding up for a week ,waiting for this builder to do the windows, he'd better turn up today. My dad said if he doesn't turn up today he'll go bat sht crazy and tell builder he'll take him to court, as hes just pssing about.

My mum is having kittens.
We've checked builder online and he's had good reviews.

My bro texted him on friday just to check he was coming today but had no answer.

I get a feeling he's not going to turn up and all HELL will break loose.

Sounds like a nice walk Vienna

I am trying to summon the energy to take my dog out. I am feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. I am working Monday to Friday at the moment and I can feel myself getting to a point where I am not managing. I shared a thing on fb before about Autism and masking.... Where autistic people learn to mask their own feelings and behaviours to fit in.... I am wondering if that is what I do and if that's why I get tired and overwhelmed so quickly if I do full weeks.

That's bloody awful, no wonder you're scared to go out again after that. I highly doubt you'll see him again though. The kind of degenerate cretins who behave like that only do it when they have the luxury of anonymity or in this case, the ability to race off on his bike if you'd called him out on his dickish behaviour. All these pricks need is prolonged eye contact and they bugger off.

aww, Mo.

You'll be fab as a mentor. It's the pressure of performing in false situations that feels really awkward and eeeee.

Maybe you could have a little think about the skills that you have to offer and that might help to spur you on. Then once the training is over and you're with a real person in need, then it will feel real and your want to help the person will kick in and make it feel more natural.

How many more sessions are there?

Thanks biscuits

Just to be confusing i'm doing 2 course at the min. The peer mentoring course I've just started and is on a Monday afternoon. The course I was at tonight was Introduction to Counselling which is a bit more intense? (from an sa perspective). They do compliment one another tho. This was session no 5 so there is another 5 sessions to go. You can then chose to move onto the level 2 course in Jan.

But yeah it is difficult when it's kind of forced and the person I did a mock 5 min session with wasn't giving me much to work with so I just panicked and my brain died, lol.

^^ Oh! Thatís great! (I mean the extra course - not that you found it challenging)

Hopefully next time youíll be paired with someone who makes it a little easier to practise with. Maybe they were feeling mega awkward too though.Sometimes I think mentioning that you find something awkward is a good thing - it either makes people open up and say they feel the same or it makes them want to help to make it less awkward and they become more reassuring.

I did something very similar this morning. Try not to be too hard on yourself

I'm starting to feel really tired after only getting 2 hours sleep last night and I've got another 7 hours to get through before I can hug my bed.
