^^ I'm not sure what Bernie Sanders being a guest has to do with Rogan getting a semi every time a Conservative grifter with a sob story turns up?

Maybe you need to balance your nootropics and double your intake of mushroom coffee for enhanced cognition.

Sanders has spoken nothing but good sense. I fail to see what the problem is.

He tainted himself years before he went on Rogan's podcast.

To be fair to him not giving up after he's lost, you could say the same of the remain crowd of the referendum, does that make them tainted? Criticising Clinton again doesn't sound unreasonable to me if he's sticking to his principles. and he can hardly be blamed for 10-15% of his supporters who clearly don't understand politics.

The Brexit referendum couldn't be any different to a Democratic race, so I'm not sure what this analogy is about. It would be more like a local councillor knocking on doors and handing out leaflets asking people to vote for them in an upcoming general election when they weren't even nominated by their party to stand as an MP. After Sanders knew he had no chance he continued fighting for the position he knew he'd never get. There was no benefit at all to "sticking to his principles" once he knew he couldn't win the race. Continuing to criticise Clinton when he'd already lost did nothing other than encourage many of his supporters to vote for Trump instead of her. If he'd got behind her, Trump wouldn't have won, which makes it obvious that he cares more about himself than his country.

My point is, like the remain side of the referendum, he does have the right to continue to make the argument. But yes perhaps that was a bad analogy. Surely he can't be expected to get behind a candidate he completely disagrees with, hence his principles being called into question. Perhaps we simply have to accept the fact that the left were too fragmented between Sanders and Clinton to ever be a real challenge to Trump but I stand by my comment that he can't be held accountable for the 10-15% who see Trump as an alternative to Sanders when the political ideology is so different.

Just out of my own interest are you a politics graduate? You seem very well informed.

It is a miracle Trump hasn't been impeached yet. Obviously in a democracy people can continue to campaign if they want to and if you disagree, you don't vote for them. I mean saying someone can't run again just looks like fear from people that disagree. Personally, I don't agree with Bernie Saunders on everything, but a lot of American's would benefit I think, yet they voted for Trump, but that is democracy for you.

Generally those who lose the race will get behind their party's nominee regardless of diagreeing with them, because they see it as preferable to the alternative. Hopefully Sanders learned a lesson from last time for when he inevitably loses to the problematic Biden.

(I'm not a politics graduate, but I was born in the US and had dual citizenship until a couple of years ago, so I'm probably more invested than some.)
