Re: Dishwasher or hand wash dishes?
I'd prefer a dishwasher but alas I have to hand wash.

Re: Dishwasher or hand wash dishes?
I'm getting a dishwasher soon. It's a real chore washing dishes because i save it up (once a week) and it takes ages. I don't really mind the rest of the housekeeping tasks.

Re: Dishwasher or hand wash dishes?
I'm such a lazy washer-upper. But I would feel guilty with a dishwasher.
Currently got one casserole dish, one frying pan, 1 storage container, 2 dishes, cutlery, and a cup to wash. |

Re: Dishwasher or hand wash dishes?
When I bought my house there was a brand new dishwasher already put in the kitchen, but I've literally never used it. It's always just acted as a cupboard for tea towels, light bulbs and batteries.
I wash the stuff from breakfast and lunch when I'm cooking dinner, then wash the stuff I've used for dinner right after I've eaten that. It doesn't ever take more than a few minutes. |

Ah but thats the perfect amount for a tabletop! I used to hate the idea of a dishwasher until I got one. I actually like watching the water spray round. Its kind of relaxing in a way! Like therapy!

Re: Dishwasher or hand wash dishes?
I don't have a dishwasher and don't particularly want one because when I've seen other people using there's it seems such a faff loading it all up. I don't mind washing the dishes by hand because the sink is in-front of the window which looks out onto the garden.

Re: Dishwasher or hand wash dishes?
Being a kitchen porter and having worked in different kitchens I think the setup of a sink can either make it easier or harder to wash dishes and once you can scrub they are easy to wash especially if you use your core.
I don’t have a dishwasher but they make the job easier and more efficient. I’ve noticed that it’s domestic dishwashers that can stink. Did a job in an office that used domestic ones. The commercial dishwashers I’ve used have never really smelt, or the smell of something never seems to linger after draining the machine even if the dishwasher isn’t working at its best. |

Re: Dishwasher or hand wash dishes?
^^^^ I think dishwashing is mostly about organisation. I notice as a kitchen porter I think speed is overrated. Some people wash fast but not properly. I use to be called slow and stuff. I’m faster now but what I’ve noticed makes a difference in washing up efficiently isn’t just speed like I have been told. Actually organising the kitchen ware seems to make the biggest difference in speed for me.

^^ it's the steam all up in your face. I open it too early haha
The smell of the faux lemon... it's just the general smell rather than anything stinky. It offend my olfactory system |

Dishwasher. Means that only have to put it on every 2nd or 3rd day. Emptying the dishwasher is the worst part. Not the smell or anything just the actual act of doing it.
