Are you grateful you were born in an era where the internet invention exists?
Do you love the internet?
Can you live without it? |

150%. The world was definitely a poorer place before all the fascinating question threads on The Lounge on SA-UK.

Very much so, we're living in the age of information.

not sure really, didn't live long enough in a pre-internet era I guess. I think it might cause more people to be isolated, more people opting for entertainment instead of interaction. More people with a 'swap' value. I can swap x for a superior y. Higher spending. Infinite possibilities maybe causing anxiety. More waste time on silly apps, silly sites, silly internet. Lower attention span.
But on the positive- more knowledge, more recipes, more buying freedom, |

Re: Are you grateful you were born in an era where the internet invention exists?
Speaking of the internet as a superior source of knowledge, I find it strange that I never forgot any interesting fact/quote I looked up in a literal book, on the other hand, normally I come across a lot of informative content online, but they just vaporize after a while from my head, as if what comes easy goes easy.
And as someone with social anxiety and poor social skills , I have always preferred the internet as a better friend over actual people. |
