Can't sleep :(

I only seem to be able to manage 3-4 hours at a go recently, which is odd given I'm someone that can usually easily sleep over 12 hours.

I had such a fun night. My neighbour sounded like he was sawing furniture above my head until 12.30pm. Going to need an afternoon nap today I think.

Indeed, the vacuum people. The woman seems quite reasonable, says she'll speak to her partner but the noise never changes. I think he stands in the bedroom and repeatedly drops stuff on the floor, then starts manically hoovering. I think they have more than one hoover too as they sound different

I know he does shift work but surely his partner can hoover if need be during the day or late afternoon? Once per day seems sufficient. I haven't hoovered in a week He is built like the incredible hulk so I would rather not speak to him about it.

I bought a wifi camera a few days ago so I could keep an eye on my cats when I'm out. It records whenever there's movement and you then can scroll through the videos on the app. Last night I decided to put it on top of some drawers at the end of my bed to film myself sleeping, and it's so weird now watching through all the clips it's taken At one point I stick a leg out of the sheets and start stroking one cat with my foot for a while, and a few times I sit upright and look around, and quite a lot of time seem to have my eyes open. I don't even remember waking up last night.

I'd love to do that and see what I get up to in my sleep.

I used to stay at a friends years ago every friday night and we shared a room.
She once sat bolt upright in bed and asked me if I wanted a cup of tea, I was quite confused at first but realised even though her eyes were open she was sound a sleep

I can't sleep either. I've been passing out at like 6ish these past few days. It's really hard and painful to be quiet with my thoughts before bed.

They are doing roadworks outside my window. There is a big lorry just sitting there with its engine on and a pump going and now a really loud hydraulic sound. Thanks guys.

My first weekday use of the light alarm this morning and I woke up feeling great The alarm was set for 6am, so the light started to come on from 5:30am. I woke up at around 5:40am and it just felt like I was waking naturally rather than being forced awake like with a phone alarm noise. I hope it's like this every day from now on.

Yeah, it goes from red to yellow to white. I wish I'd got one years ago (I just had the type you sit in front of while awake and that never seemed to do anything).

I've been feeling good when I wake up this week, but have woken a few times in the night which I think is because of the cold. I usually put an oil heater in front of the bedroom window at night during winter, set to make it so the room isn't too warm but not cold either. It always takes a few tries to get the temperature set right though, and the last couple of days it's been way too low.

my heart rate is high so can't sleep. Usually it's if I have diet coke late but this eve all I've had is tea, guess I might have to switch to decaff
My other theory is it's dehydration that causes it but I don't think that's the case this eve.

I need to be up early an all, yet totally wide awake

I'm still up. Not been sleeping well at my ex's for a while now. Not sure why, maybe because I don't row before bed, too much energy... or maybe the tea, that's probably it, I'll buy decaf tea.
