Having watched the early web broadcast episode of Game of Thrones, I won't be bothering, the video quality was très poor.

Snob!

Surprised its taking so long via torrent. Usually for shows the day after being aired the speeds are fast.

Too right I'm a quality snob, for we have long since reached the green, green pastures that is HD video !

Yeah it took a while for the torrent to got up to my usual speed limit of 700kbs, not too bad for an ADSL connection.

You are a snob, when you said it was going slow i assumed is was under 100kbs but 700kbs lol. I get 300kbs max speed on mine and thinks that fast enough. I guess my expectations are lower as i'm part of the 'internet download underclass'.

'I wonder if there's more bandwitdh in here'

Mind you i don't watch cam versions of films never even if they are 'decent' and rather wait for dvd-rips.

Strange show, I can't stop watching though....

I've just seen the trailer for the new series of Curb Your Enthusiasm and I can't wait for it to be aired.

I'm currently watching The Royal, Fairy Jobmother, NCIS and Embarrassing Fat Bodies.

I watched series 1; haven't seen the second yet. It's such a ridiculous load of old nonsense, but the cast is so good they somehow manage to make it work. Idris Elba is, of course, magnificent and Ruth Wilson clearly has an absolute whale of a time as cartoon psychopath. The supporting cast are superb as well.

It's kind of weird hearing Stringer Bell speaking with an East London accent, though.

Just seen ep 1 of Season 4 of True Blood. Brilliant start to it but as usual too many storylines (in each ep) for characters that are'nt that interesting.

I was considering watching Luthur, not seen any of it but like you say I can't picture him as anything other than Stringer Bell such was the awesomeness of his performance in The Wire. It's weird that half the people in The Wire were English/Irish.

Yeah i loved Sick boy being in it, season 5 was good but not the best probably on par with season 2.

For me its

4 > 1 > 2/5 > 3

Can't wait for 6 though, theres some good new actors, Alex from Roswell

Yeah I agree but I'd say 2 was a bit better than 5, but then 5 was always gonna be a let down after 4 so it's hard to judge. 3 was defo the weakest, it's pretty much went from my memory after the 4th. I think the concept of him getting a best friend was a good one but they stretched it out the whole series plus it was all too obvious.

Yeah thats true. I did love Julia Stiles in Season 5, well until you know what

And Masuka acting out the whole sex crime scene had me in tears, one of the best scenes ever.

Yeah i was really shocked too and also cried as i loved him winding up Dexter and giving him the evils, but still a good show is one that doesn't hold back on the shocks and killings of characters

Has anyone read the books? They're rubbish in comparison. The one I read Dexter is really annoying cos he's making jokes non-stop whereas in the series the one-liners are quality over quantity.

I have been watching Gold Rush on Discovery lately. I think I could live in Alaska - could probably deal with bears better than people.

Just finished watching Season 2 of Dexter. First season was great, but wow they REALLY stepped it up for the second. Probably one of the best seasons of any TV show I've watched tbh, completely gripping from start to finish. Got so tense towards the end, will be amazed if they can keep this sort of quality for season 3.

True Blood - series 4. I seem to be alone in thinking this series has went down hill and has been fairly crap compared to the previous. I realise its still based on the books - in which case the books story arcs on which its based are really poor. For me it reached a quality crescendo 3 quarters of the way through series 3 with a certain TV appearance. Gutted its turned into twilight with TnA
