Ballistic weapon sound suppressors (you're not supposed to call them silencers) actually exist so that the shooter can use a gun without having to wear ear protection, and to protect others in close proximity from hearing damage as well. They would actually be fairly useless for avoiding detection as depicted in James Bond films.

That my lad's gf is still here in the bedroom with him.Bit narked by it because I've expressed my dislike to him just bringing her back after a night out and this is the first time she's stayed this long.I've only met her once(the morning after a night before).Is it me,or would anybody else find this a bit disrespectful?

Yes, I would but been there, done that with son no 2. His gf at the time ended up practically living with us and caused a lot of problems between my son and me.
Things are still not good between us.
It didn't help that my 3 boys shared a room so it was a bit awkward, especially for my youngest who was in the bunk above

Wow..yeah..that sounds awkward.Sorry to hear you still have problems.Me and my lad not seeing eye to eye over this gf situation either.Seems to be defying mewhere she's concerned.Been there and done it myself when younger but I've not brought him up to be like me.I find it awkward abit.Staying in the flat when there's been no effort to get to know me.Cheeky sods.

Tutankhamen's parents were brother and sister. DNA test have proved it.

Very interesting documentary on BBC1 just now. There was a lot of incest to keep the royal blood line 'pure', but it caused lots of health problems which was why lots of them died young. Tutankhamen was not a well man at all.
They also went in a tomb where all the mummies are still laid out exposed and untouched from 3000 years ago. Amazing.

^ I haven't read that but he did the Stanford Prison Experiment didn't he. That shows how authority can turn people evil, but I don't think that would apply to the mafia. I don't it's obedience to authority that makes them do what they do, but rather an obedience to a moral code.

That you're not really supposed to feed ducks bread. It's only meant to be a treat in extreme moderation, as it.causes malnutrition. Feel so guilty about all the bread I've fed them. Also reminds me of.the time I.went camping with friends- they chucked a whole loaf in a river for the ducks. I hope it.didn't cause the ducks any problems!! Also, I bet the ducks in the London parks must be unhealthy, seeing.as they are fed bread constantly every day!

That McCoy's are eligible as a snack item in the Co-Op meal deal.
