How to explain gaps in employment due to mental health issues?

I've got an interview coming up for a job that I really want and I'm not sure how to explain my employment gaps. I've got one gap of two years and another gap that's a year. Mainly due to anxiety/depression. Can I just say that "it was due to a medical issue that's been resolved"?
