What 'Little' Things Make You Happy?

Sitting on the beach (on my own as always)
Hot baths
Driving my old car
My team winning
Winning money (Not that I ever win much)

Having a nice pastry or cake and a coffee whilst sitting in a nice cafe and people watching. (I have to be with someone, would never do this on my own!)

Having a massage

Listening to various music

Buying myself some new type of food

Lunch makes me really happy

Getting a text/e-mail/message from someone.... this happens extremely rarely!

This is a tough one..because nothing ever truly makes me happy these days.

I like scenery. Seeing the world in it's most natural state possible..well the countryside in this country anyways...because i havent been anywhere else..other than Wales, Scotland and other places like Alston.

There's just something about being out in the open..feeling and experiencing nature all around you. Everywhere you turn there is beauty all around. I like lakes and streams also..makes the experience richer.

Suppose these arent small things..but it's what would make me happy

Every day I put water in an old baking tray in my garden for the birds to bathe in.They get huge pleasure from it, especially in the hot weather, and it makes me happy to watch them.

someone actually saying thank you when i hold a door open for them.

people who move out of the way on the path when they are in a group walking towards me so i dont have to go onto the road.

a driver who stops when pulling out of the driveway or at a junction to let me cross, esp when it is raining and they can see im soaked.

just plain old good manners and common courtesy.

People actually being nice to eachother.

For example, yesterday there was an old man in the supermarket car park struggling with a trolley and a walking stick and not managing to walk to put the trolley back in the trolley park

A woman came up to him and said:

"I'll put this back for you, you just take your stick. Have you put a pound in it? Then I'll make sure I'll get that back for you"

How truly kind. Made me feel happy for the rest of the day.
