around two and a half days, with the aid of a LOT of coffee and food. After a certain amount of time you just don't feel tired any more, but you do start to feel very ill, then you space out a lot (so much so that you may as well be asleep, because you can't do anything).
And when you finally decide to take a nap, you'll sleep for a day or so. I think the world record is something like 11 days |

Just short of 4 days,and 3 of those was me stood at my computer desk...Not fun

Something like 84 hours if memory serves me.
I was hitch-hiking around the U.S. and was passing through South Carolina in the wee hours of the morning. Dense woods, nobody around for miles. The chirps and croaks of all the nocturnal creatures seemed deafening. Over the treetops rose a giant frog, had to be 300 feet or more in height. Freaked me out to say the least. It took about 10 to 15 seconds for me to realize I was halucinating

Barely even 24 hours, I think. I am useless if I don't get enough sleep!
I did once go about 3 days with only 5 hours sleep altogether because of something insane called the "48 hour film project". I got through an unhealthy number of those large cans of "Relentless". |

48 hours much of which spent drinking cider and trying to finish an essay in time for a hand-in deadline. not a winning combo.

not even 24 hours straight i don't think. when i was very unwell mentally i could not sleep at all and i had 3 days and 3 nights of a total of about one hours sleep and even then it was full of panic attacks and waking up with electric jolts. it was hell, i honestly nearly threw myself in front of a cars on a main road i was so messed up from the sleep deprivation and wanted to end it all. insomnia at night really messed with my thoughts during the day aswell. urgh would not wish that on my worst enemy!!

The longest ive stayed awake is about 4 days i think.
I go through phases where ill either sleep for days, be awake for days or sleep all day and be awake all night. Its very rare that i sleep like a normal person

Only about 2 days. I'd stayed up so late one night that I decided that the only way to get back to 'normal' was to skip a nights sleep. The second day I thought I was going to collapse though, I can't function without sleep. Apparently if you go long enough you start to hallucinate and stuff, tempted to try it out one day to see what that's like.

Three days from Thursday in to Friday, Friday in to Saturday and Saturday in to Sunday. Then when I went to bed on Sunday night I slept twenty four hours!
 When I was a teen I used to stay awake because I didn't like sleeping to much went through a stage of staying up 24hours sleep 6 then staying awake 24hours again for a few months, now a days that would probably kill me.

I am not sure how long it is without any sleep at all, probably only about a day or two but it has been many days with only brief cat naps, it's called the joys motherhood! *yawns*

48 hrs....when I went to australia, I travelled all the way there landed at 7am (aussie time, about 8ishpm uk time) then managed to stay awake all day apart from sleeping for an hour in the cinema whilst watching wall-e (grr) which is one of my fave films incidentally. Went to bed at 9.30pm and dont know how the hell I woke up the next day with no jetlag

I think I may try & stay awake for a couple of days or so; the thought of experiencing hallucinations seems somewhat appealing. I'll give it a try when I've got a couple of days off work.
