any fans of the electric light orchestra? just diggin em right now, as it happens. not sure if the orchestral melodrama is quite right for me right now, but i'll see how long i can hold out

that was my route into this band's music, my dad had the "out of the blue" album, and i learned how to work the record player and play it through the great big heavy headphones

I'm quite a fan - there was a period a couple of years back when Mr Blue Sky was all over TV, so I got into them that way - although I'm sure I must have heard them on one of my dad's cassettes at some point.

I think they're great and Jeff Lynne's a genius. Their Ultimate Collection has lots of great tunes on and Mr. Blue Sky should really be our national anthem

Hate them, sorry, but I did use to live around the corner from one of them , the drummer I think. Use to see this geezer with curly-wurly hair driving an e-type jag with ELO 3 on the number plate.
