Missed half the contest, but UK I think should get top half. Israel and Moldova stood out.

UK wasn't great, but I don't want to see them at the bottom. That will only appease the TERFs and Tories.

they won't come bottom, last song on the list and it's usually the most remembered. So I'm certain it won't be bottom. Famous last words.

Just caught up on some of these on youtube the ones I missed. Spain sounds like a cat being killed. Portugal was quite impressive. Switzerland reasonable.

Norway will probably win.

Were Croatia hinting at Putin being a sycophantic missile turd?

I thought the UK entry was pretty poor. Was neither a fun novelty act, or a quality song. Very very mundane! Our 2022 song from Sam Ryder was fun, uplifting and good quality a I thought. But of a contrast this year!

When Ukraine were giving points, after the very thankful comments about the UK hosting, I thought the points were obviously going to the UK. But then she said Sweden. Awks

Finland was brilliant fun, and so was Croatia. In terms of actual quality, I enjoyed the folk/modern fusions that Czechia and Moldova had. They were my two favourites. Australia was great too.

I thought we'd do much better than second from bottom this year.

Well done, Sweden (<- is that little guy shouting, "it was fixed!"?)

The conspiracy theory is that Sweden won because 'they' want ABBA to perform at next year's Eurovision.

Too buzzed to sleep now

Rhythm is Gooner Getcha,
Rhythm is Gooner Getcha,
Away-o-way,
Away-o-way,
Rhythm is Gooner Getcha, to-night!
(Lyrics - Estefan)

Come on the mighty Seagulls, stuff those Woolwich Arsenal tw@ts up the Arsenal!

(oops, wrong thread!)

Can’t really see the hype over Sweden’s act. Didn’t really stand out for me.

Sweden were hyped to win even before they sang a note at their national final. It's just too fitting that next year is the 50th anniversary of ABBA winning Eurovision.

Rigged!
