Favourite sauce?
The type you put on the side of your plate!
I like Branston rich and fruity sauce. It goes well with most dinners. I like it with chicken and potatoes |

Re: Favourite sauce?
Ooooh tough one.
Generally it's mayonnaise as I'll eat that with anything but for pure flavour, something like Tabasco sauce, or siriatcha. That stuff is gorgeous! |

Re: Favourite sauce?
Tears.
I pride myself on only ever having ketchup when one foodstuff is present: sausage (frankfurter inclusive). Otherwise I'm a mayo boy. Also, mint sauce in mushy peas. Sriracha in anything. |

Re: Favourite sauce?
Back in the day I used to be partial to an HP sauce that was fruity, can't remember the exact name. Loved salad cream too. Now if I have anything it's usually light mayonnaise.

Re: Favourite sauce?
There are plenty of great sauces out there. Tomato sauce! Mint sauce! Even horseradish sauce! But peppercorn sauce is the sauciest of them all. Or something like that. It also has to be the schwartz packet powder sauce. I have tried other peppercorn brands before but those brands just don't float my sauce boat.

Re: Favourite sauce?
I don't often have sauces on the table, I usually create them in the cooking process, but on the rare occasion that a have a "fry up", I will add brown sauce (Bramwell's, most other brands are too vinegary); if I make a roast dinner (also a rarity), I will make bread sauce, but that doesn't go on the side, I cover everything in it (I also make it very thick, not like the runny version you find in Toby Carvery).
I do have sauce on the table if I make fajitas, for instance, but those are spread onto the wraps - sriracha, piri piri or sweet chilli mayo, depending on my mood. I tend to use mayo in sandwiches, or things like pasta salad, rather than at the table, but one thing which is always on my table is chilli and mango salad dressing (I used to make my own honey & mustard dressings until I discovered this). |
