How many cups?
Just wondering where we all stand on the whole correct number of cups/mugs to have on the go debate.
Also I've never posted a poll before and I fancied posting a poll. |

Re: How many cups?
Welcome to poll club!
I use a new cup/mug for every drink I have at home. If it's squash or water then I'll reuse the glass, but would use a new glass for different meals. At work I refill my travel cup, so it gets about two uses a day. And my water bottle I refill and reuse. |

Re: How many cups?
One cup per day for tea/coffee with a quick rinse between each drink.

Re: How many cups?
I used to use one cup each day for coffee and another for tea, but over time my mug stock has become depleted and now I have only one (except for "special" souvenir mugs which would only get used in an emergency, because I don't want to break them), so until I have a shopping trip when I actually remember that I need to buy mugs, it's one and a quick wash between uses.

Re: How many cups?
Ok, this is a relevant question.
I only drink water, so I only use one cup per day, rinse in between. But it annoys the **** out of me when my gf drinks a couple of coffees a day, plus few glasses of water, and by the end of the day there's 7 cups by the sink from her alone. How do I bring this up without sounding like a nazi whose OCD got the better of me? That's a rhetorical question. |

Re: How many cups?
I can only drink tea out of mugs that are white on the inside. It's like the colourful inner mugs make the tea taste different.

Re: How many cups?
^^^ Hide the cups so she can only use one.. ? Serious. She needs to learn.
^^ My dad has the same.. condition? Though i'm not sure whether it's because of a taste thing, more of a cleanliness thing. |

Re: How many cups?
I very rarely drink anything that requires a cup. Generally I'll use a glass. I have a bunch of pint glasses that I've acquired (legally) from various beer festivals and things.
I do have a bunch of mugs that sit quietly on their tree, waiting for the day I decide to make a cup-a-soup, hoping they will be chosen. |

Re: How many cups?
I have far too many mugs, and I'll use one per day (with a rinse between coffees) until I can justify using the dishwasher. Sometimes I'll get through my whole stock. I'm not manky, I'm just eco-friendly. Yes, that's it.

Only one cup is needed. Any more is vanity

Re: How many cups?
It's usually a cup a day. It just seems easier to give the cup a quick rinse and hope for the best. Unless I'm having a cup a soup, then it's in the 2 cups a day category. Possibly 3 cups a day if I also have a hot chocolate drink. Although that isn't very frequent. Anyway, that's all I can think of right now. But I will update if I can think of anything else to add.

Re: How many cups?
One glass for water, one mug for tea. Wash both in the evening along with the dinner dishes.

Re: How many cups?
One day, one cup. I only really drink water or Pepsi Max, so I just rinse between drink changes.
I have my parents round this weekend and am already mentally preparing myself for their mug for e.v.e.r.y. s.i.n.g.l.e. tea madness. I might actually hide all but two mugs so they are forced to use them responsibly. |
