Aw that sounds really cool!

I like to ride on a steam train.

I'd love to go to this postal museum and have ride: https://www.postalmuseum.org/visit-u...ect/mail-rail/

Trains are great.
Steam trains especially. The chug chug choo choo is one of the best sounds.
Stations are also wonderful. Abandoned, disused stations are pure excitement. The disused London tube stations are fascinating - the original fixtures, the advert posters of the day still on the walls... it's like stepping back in time without a flux capacitor in sight.

Amersham to Harrow and back on the Metropolitan Line.

That made me wol (whistle out loud)

Out of London it's not that expensive. I've been on a few and in Wales as well :D

When I was at primary school we used to go as a school to see Father Christmas on a steam train. I was petrified of the big fella - always refused to sit on his knee

I was up dancing several times in a nightclub the other night,

Definitely not something I'd ever do really, so I'm rather chuffed (and astonished) about that,

It's surprisingly easy once you get started

Not a big deal to some but tidied my room a bit. I feel accountability is the solution to my problems but the first step seems to be having things in order.

^^ nice one, Mr Nobody! Dancing is a lot of fun :D

^ things do feel calmer in a calm environment, which sounds silly to say now I've typed it out - but it's true! I struggle to keep things organised and actually find it stressful to do so. So I get how doing that is an achievement it is

I travelled to go see my favourite band and stay at a hotel by myself, this week. I kept feeling like I was making a tit of myself whenever I had to interact with anyone, and I felt a bit like throwing up until I got settled at the gig, but otherwise I got through it OK.

I was kind of disappointed at how emotionally flat I felt though. I'm struggling a bit not to feel disheartened about how even when I make the effort to do something difficult, there isn't much of a feel-good payoff. It was an OK experience, which I guess is at least better than a horrible panic-fest.

Nice one, Merritt!

I think you have to be realistic. One event isn't going to shake things up too much. Feeling good about things is something that comes eventually after many efforts. It is a good foundation to work from though. You did it!

Nice one Merritt, that's something to be proud of getting out there like that, especially by yourself, is amazing!
And hopefully it might be something to look back on like, 'hell yeah, I can do it'

That’s good Merritt. It’s good how you did something you found challenging. That’s a step forward.

Went for a heritage ride on 1938 tube stock train. Was very anxious about this initially. Took lots of photos. Felt drained due to my anxiety and feeling like I had to manage my anxiety. But it was a novel experience and a positive step to doing things I want to do.

I messaged the security guard that I like her, but just that. Today at work went well. She responded positively and I was mainly in a more relaxed or accepting mood.

She spoke more to me. But to do with the topics. I feel I still like her but maybe should like her like an aunt as she is clearly more mature and responsible than me. Also older.

I rang the doctors today and through a helpful lady in admin called Donna, I was able to get a written letter from my Doctor to support my application for Disability Support Allowance while at university. I've got to go and collect it tomorrow.

I could feel my whole body shaking while I was on the phone but thankfully with the help of a script I could get my points across.

I've been doing an online stand-up class since around April and think I'm finally getting somewhere with producing stuff that a) I like and b) seems to go down well in the class (which feels like a big deal because the tutor isn't easily impressed).

I was also really struggling just doing my stuff in class, but I'm now beginning to have a bit more confidence with it and feel like I'm slowly finding a bit of a performance persona.

I'm taking it as a win because I've wanted to do something like this for ages and I've stuck with it despite feeling a massive tit early on and lots of other people leaving the course (I think partly because how harsh the tutor can be).

I think I'm about halfway to having the five solid minutes of material she recommends before even considering doing it proper. I'm scared shitless but am determined to do it.

F you SA.

^ Thanks! Mostly myself, unfortunately. She encourages us to do stuff that's about us and basically true (though can be exaggerated) to move us away from just doing stuff for a punchline that anyone could do. It makes things a bit harder but is probably a better route I think.
