Got a new job!
The Jobcentre has actually been helpful because I get on with the woman there. She was actually open with me and told me she was a rascal when she was younger (e.g. taking drugs/criminal record) and she thinks I am like her but I need a chance. I quit my job in October I think in a warehouse (circumstances were beyond my control), now they have got the NHS to agree to give me a job as a healthcare assistant in hospital (part time). Good thing is I won***8217;t lose any money because I***8217;m on universal credit. I made it clear I only want to work parttime initially and they were ok with it. I have been getting extra support because of my drink and drug addictions (they are trying hard to get people with these problems back into work, if they want to work that is). They also give me first month***8217;s bus/train fare, and £100 to buy some new clothes. The good thing is healthcare is the area I wanted a job in but had no experience but because the Jobcentre staff can vouch that I***8217;d probably be a good worker (and qualifications in this area) and because of my problems they have allowed me a trial I guess. Also, they said they the NHS are supporting people with autism who have not worked for a long time to be healthcare assistants and porters. I start 15th February once my paperwork is sorted.

Re: Got a new job!
Congratulations! I work as a porter and the healthcare assistants where I work all seem to enjoy their jobs. Not that I talk to them much but that's the impression I get. I hope it all goes well for you.
